DFB Pokal

National Cups are not that prestigious anymore if it comes to football point of view but cups give the best opportunity to see real oldfashioned football atmosphere. Esspecialy in the smaller cities when they play against teams form 1st or 2st division. That`s why me and Krzysztof Gawron - owner of the site myfootballway.com decided to go to see some DFB Pokal games in Germany. At the end of the long weekend I also attended one rescheduled game in Polish League: Legia vs. Cracovia. Legia Warsaw - Arsenal

That was a game we were waiting for a long time. The new stadium opening game against Arsenal (really doesn`t matter which was the opponent). The game was sold out really quick. During last 3 years we got a huge conflict beetwen the owners of the club and the fans. There was no supporting on the stands for this long period. Now conflict is over and game against Arsenal was first one without a silence at the stadium. Actuallu it was very loud :) I didn`t do it before but now I strongly recommend You to come to see Legia game during this season. Armenia

I was thinking about going a little farther to see some football. I checked out the promotional tickets fares and decide to go to ... Armenia. I stayed there for 8 days and seen 3 games of Armenian 1st league. I`ve also been to Karabakh. Warsaw area

Michael from Berlin came to Warsaw for a short business trip but fortunately he got free Saturday. The bad thing was that it was a couple of weeks before the first round of Polish league. Luckily there was still a chance to watch two clashes in one day. First one was a friendly in Pruszkow (small village close to Warsaw), second one Polish Cup game in Otwock (another small city in Warsaw area). 8 days, 8 games, 4 countries

The plan was to see 5 games in 3 countries during 6 days but I purposely missed ;) the flight back to Warsaw and stayed a couple of more days in Lithuania. Belarus

My goal was to start new season as quick as possible. Finally I did it in the end of June. I was searching for some fixtures and found out there was a Belarusian league plying during the World Cup. As a matter of fact Belarus is not that far from Poland ;) The biggest problem was to obtain a visa. Actually is not that hard to get it but You still have to pay about 100 euros unless it is an express one. I went to Belarus twice (two weekends in a row) and had to buy visa twice. As You can see on this page - most of the stadiums I`ve been to - are located in my coutry (POLAND). They are mostly situated in countryside and the teams from lower division take the responsibility of being a hosts.
